Hi - I'm really glad you're here
I'm Claire Stancliffe — a former primary school teacher, a feminist, and the mum of a boy who made me completely reassess everything I thought I knew about gender.
I’ve seen firsthand how the messages we send our children can influence their confidence, ambition, the toys they choose and the company they keep. I believe there is more that we as adults can be doing to encourage young people to resist stereotypes and explore all that makes them inspired and happy.
Raising Gentle Boys grew out of a personal obsession with understanding gender and a belief that parents and educators deserve a safe space to have this conversation.

As a former teacher, I know just how easily gender stereotypes can creep into the classroom and proliferate in the playground. I help educators get the tools to confidently breakdown stereotypes, challenge bias and unleash the full potential of all children, no matter their gender.
